Private & Semi-Private
Sessions

Private and semi-private sessions offer a more focused setting for Pilates instruction, while still reflecting the same principles used across our classes. These formats simply allow for a different level of attention, pacing, and context.

Private Sessions

Private sessions provide one-on-one guidance tailored to your body, your questions, and your pace. This setting allows instructors to respond moment-by-moment, supporting clarity, confidence, and control without the need to keep up with a group.

Private work can be helpful at many points in a practice — whether you’re learning foundational concepts, working through something specific, or refining more advanced movement. Sessions are shaped around what’s most useful in the moment, rather than following a fixed template.

Semi-Private / Duet Sessions

Semi-private sessions are designed for two people sharing focused instruction in a calm, supportive setting. Each person receives individual guidance, with the structure allowing for thoughtful pacing and personal attention without comparison. The shared setting never requires matched ability or experience.

This format offers the benefits of one-on-one work alongside the shared rhythm of moving with another person. As with all sessions at The Body Center, emphasis remains on control, clarity, and intention — not performance.

There’s no “better” option — only what best supports your practice at a given time. Some clients move between formats over time, while others use one consistently.

You don’t need to decide this alone. Our instructors and front desk team are happy to help guide you toward an option that feels appropriate.
